This is Wally's 16th season in the major leagues. He came into big-time with the A's in 1935 after 4 years in the minors. Remained in Philadelphia through the 1941 campaign. With White Sox from 1942 to July 1946. It was with the Chisox in 1943 that Wally led the American League in stolen bases with 56. Went to Red Sox in 1946. Back to A's for 1949. In 88 games in 1950. Hit .264.



After pitching in the minor leagues for just one and a half seasons, Mike was brought up by the Indians early in '68. The southpaw has a good assortment of pitches and as a rookie he had an impressive strikeout ratio to innings pitched. Cleveland is looking to this 24-year-old for lots of strong relief work.



Yoshihisa joined Arizona's middle relief corps after being a closer in Japan.
