Name that player!

Sometimes called "Bow-wow" because of pronunciation of last name. In 112 games during 1951. Batted .261. Had 90 hits, including 7 home runs, 5 triples, 16 doubles. Drove in 42 runs. First played for Browns in 1948. Sent to Portland, Pacific Coast League, June 7, 1952.

Following a brief acclimation period to big-league pitching in 2022, Adley booked a .924 OPS and ripped 32 extra-base hits over a 60-game span beginning June 10. He also rated among the top five catchers in Baseball in pitch-framing and pop time. Not coincidentally, the Orioles went 38-22 during that stretch to surge into the thick of the AL Wild Card race.

Injuries combined to hold Mike Mussina's victory total down in 1993, but he still showed why he is included on all lists of the best young players in the game. The Baltimore Orioles righthander followed his brilliant 18-win 1992 season with a 14 win campaign in 1993, and is being counted on to anchor the Orioles rotation for years to come. Mussina had hoped he would have that kind of success in baseball after he decided to attend Stanford and play baseball, turning down a football scholarship from Penn State.
