Jack Knott, a graduate of Southern Methodist University, spent 7 years in the minors before his work caught the eye of a major-league scout. It was his record with the Milwaukee Club in 1932 that attracted the attention of the St. Louis Browns, for Jack won 17 games for Milwaukee that year. He joined the St. Louis Browns in 1933, and was a mainstay of their pitching staff until the middle of the 1938 season when he was traded to the Chicago White Sox for William Cox. For 6 years of major-league pitching Jack has pitched 225 games, winning 45 and losing 66.
Looking at the reverse side of his 2006 Topps Allen & Ginter card, Portland, Oregon home boy Brady Clark has blasted 32 no-doubters, collected 169 runs batted in, stolen 43 bases, while posting a .283 average to this point in his career.
Gavin found a groove early in 2024, posting a 1.35 ERA over a three-start span in which foes hit just .183. Says skipper Dave Roberts: "Each time he's out there, he's just continuing to build confidence."
