Randy got into 126 games for the Cubs in 1946, batting .273. He had 17 doubles, 6 triples and 19 homers. He batted in 67 runs and scored 77. He began in baseball in 1948 with Des Moines. At the end of the 1950 season he came to the majors with the Cubs, and has been with them ever since. In 1952 he made a few appearances in the outfield, the only time he has played anywhere but at third base.
Bob joined the Browns late in '53 after his discharge from the Army. The powerful fastballer started with Belleville in '48 with a 9-3 mark and at Aberdeen in '49 he won 23 games recording 205 Strikeouts. After winning 20 games with 200 Strikeouts at San Antonio, Bob was called up by the Browns and pitched 1 game in '51.
