The big fellow returns to the Dodgers in 1954, after doing some Army duty for Uncle Sam. Dodger fans will be glad to welcome him home, but opposing batters are not looking forward to the prospect of again having to face his slants. Big Don and his shuffling gait have become a symbol of victory to Brooklyn rooters. He had a 20-9 record in 1951, his last with Brooklyn, and a team doesn't lose a 20 game winner without feeling it.



The 1916 Sporting News M101-4 and M-101-5 sets were released only a few years after the famed tobacco card sets produced by the American Tobacco Company.



Trevor's willingness to play second base landed him a much-celebrated, long-term deal with the Red Sox in March. He is a two-time Silver Slugger-winning shortstop who led the NL with 254 XBHs from 2018-21.
