Returning to baseball in '53 after 2 years in the Army, Bob had a losing record for the first time in his career. Breaking into pro ball at Greenville in '48, he won 19 and lost 8, with a 3.01 ERA and 152 Strikeouts. Bob had a 17-6 mark at Davenport with 133 Strikeouts in '49. With New Orleans of the Southern Association in 1950, he posted 12 Wins and fanned 92.
Now living in beautiful Weir, Mississippi, a read of other information from the 2006 Topps Allen & Ginter card of Roy Oswalt mentions that he managed to compile a winning record to date, with 83 won and 39 lost, with 850 strikeouts against 225 bases-on-balls.
