Started as 3rd baseman 11 years ago. Continues today as the Tribe regular and one of the best. A slugger, too, total homers 155, 31 last year to place 3rd in A.L. Clutch hitter, he chalked up 166 hits for a slugging average of .522. Slick fielding rated him a neat .969.



The highest position player drafted out of a Michigan high school since Derek Jeter, Nick began his pro journey in the Cardinals system before signing with the Mets as a Minor League free agent in November 2021. He went 2-for-4 with a homer in his first Triple-A game with his new organization on April 14, then was called up to Citi Field the next day.



Not known for his hitting, Fred got key RBI last season. In game vs. Mets, June 9th, Fred squeezed home insurance run in 9th inning and got Save in 4-2 victory.
