The "Big Man" in the Yanks' lineup last season was dependable Yogi Berra. In at least 21 games he either drove in or scored the winning run! For the sixth straight year he was voted the A.L. All- Star Catcher and proved he was tops by placing a close 2nd in A.L. R.B.I.'s. The Most Valuable Player of '51 and '54, Yogi can belt any pitch out of the park to break up a game.



"One of the new comers to the New York Yankees is Red Rolfe, who starred with the Dartmouth College team before entering professional Baseball. Rolfe was first secured by the Yankees in 1931, but he was sent to Albany and Newark for more experience. He is a shortstop, 6 feet tall, and weighs 165 pounds. He bats left-handed, but throws right-handed. Born October 17, 1908. Last year, with Newark, Red batted .326 in 156 games; walloped 7 home runs and stole 17 bases. He was chosen most valuable player in the International League by the Sports Writers."
