He was with Lancaster in '46, Savannah in '47 and after hitting .352 for Memphis in '48 the A's brought him up to stay. Joe's .327 mark in '50 was the best Batting Average on the A's. Bill played for Milwaukee in 1953 and also in 1952. The difference is that in 1952 it was a minor league team.
