Bob is one of the biggest men in baseball, and has the strength and savvy to overpower a batter. He's a mighty good pitcher, and if he had had a stronger hitting team behind him, he could have won more games. He lost 20 in 1950, while winning 13, but the record could have been reversed. Began in 1947 with Des Moines, after 8 games with them he finished the season with Nashville. Came to Cubs in 1948.

Completing his first full season with The Twins last year, Ted's 7 triples tied him for the club lead. The tall, lefthanded batter had compiled a sensational record in the minor leagues, including two batting championships. A real speedster, he has been clocked at 3.6 seconds in getting down to first base.

Baby-faced Eddie spent most of his major league career with the Brooklyn Dodgers, as have so many of the other members of the Cubs. Eddie began in baseball in 1944 with Trenton, and after 72 games there he joined the Dodgers for 26 games. Then went into service, returning to Brooklyn in 1946 for 23 games. Remained with the Dodgers until June, 1951, when he went to the Cubs in a big trade. Has played second, third and short.
