Name that player!

Scrambling Gerry Desjardins is the darling of the LA fans. Both Montreal and Toronto owned him at one time, but failed to keep him. Says face mask improved his confidence. Likes to trap pucks and pass to defensemen.

Luc earned his third selection to the All-Star First Team in 1990 after a season in which he led all NHL left wings in scoring for the second straight time. He marked his fourth NHL campaign by cracking the 50-goal barrier for the second time (he scored 52) and passing the 100-point barrier for the second time. Luc also led the NHL in shooting percentage, scoring on 24.8 percent of his attempts. Despite a sensational first year in junior hockey, the King winger wasn't drafted until the ninth round of the 1984 draft. He has appeared in three All Star Games and scored two goals in a 62-second span in the 1990 game at Pittsburgh. He won the Calder Trophy as NHL Rookie of the Year in 1986-87, the only King ever to win the award.

A rugged winger, Real Lemieux chalked up 211 penalty minutes with Memphis of the Central League in 1966-67. Nicknamed "Frenchy," he once broke his wrist in a fight, but bragged: "I broke the other guy's nose, too." Originally, a product of the Detroit Red Wing organization.
