Name that player!

Last amateur club: Toronto Marlboros (Sr.). Came to the Leaf club from Pittsburgh where he was a top scorer. The past season was his first full year with the Toronto team and he was a contender for the Clader Trophy award. A bull dog while on the ice, George likes to mix it up.

Wayne had a five-game tryout with Leafs last season and Coach Imlach liked what he saw. After a year in the Minors, Wayne was called up to Leafs this year. A big, strong, scrappy player, Wayne will give the Leafs strength "down the centre."

Long-time captain and perennial All-Star with the Chicago Black Hawks, "Pete" went to Toronto last summer. He's known as an "offensive defenseman" and is always near the top of the scoring list for defensemen.

Harry Lumley
Considered one of the best net-minders in the business he came to Leafs from Chicago on a trade for 4 other players. Without missing a single game this past season, he gave solid back-stop support to the Leaf team of youngsters. He tied McNeil in NHL shutouts with 10 to his credit.
