Although Donnie Marshall again found most of his playing time in 1956-57 consumed in killing penalties, he did get more opportunity than previously to play as a regular line pivot. And the results though not startling, were gratifying. He upped his previous best point scoring mark from 8 to 20, scoring 12 times and assisting on 8 more.
In four seasons with the Habs, Tommy has only missed 2 games, and has been a reliable, effective performer throughout. He can carry the puck, has lots of desire, and is one of the best rearguards in the NHL. Works for a surveying crew in Winnipeg between seasons and plays baseball for the Elmwood Giants of that city.
Rangy rookie with an aggressive flair, Terry provided backbone on defense. He is heads-up youngster, stiff checker, and his 149 minutes in penalties suggests he backs away from no one. Terry was picked as 2nd all-star in Eastern Pro League.
