Gerry is an 8-year veteran of the Western Hockey League where he was consistently in the top ten scorers. Black Hawks are counting heavily on his experience as a centre ice playmaker to give them strength "down the centre."

"Bucky" came to the Hawks at the start of this season for the $15,000 draft price. He was rated the Canadians' leading defense prospect but was unable to beat out more experienced men. With Chicago he is given a real chance to make the N.H.L. grade. Strong and aggressive, he played for the Montreal Royals of the Quebec Hockey League last season, his first pro year.

Crawford finished tied for fourth in the NHL in wins and led the League in shutouts in 2015-16. He surpassed Tony Esposito's franchise postseason record for victories when Chicago defeated St. Louis in Game 2 of a Central Division Semifinal.

Known as "Elmer the Great" or "Moose," he oozes color and draws "moos" from the fans wherever he plays when he rushes down ice with the puck. Shoulder used to pop out of socket until surgery last summer corrected condition.
