Panthers Card of the Day

Cam Newton
In a Week 13 matchup against the Saints, Newton evened his starting record to 2-2 in the Superdome with a decisive 41-10 win over their division rivals in 2014. More importantly, Newton's season-best 114.0 passer rating, including 3 TDs and no picks, sparked the Panthers to four straight wins to close the season.

Name that player!

Micheal creates as much havoc with opposing offenses as any linebacker in the game. In addition to generating 54 yards in losses on 8.5 quarterback sacks in 1997, he also nailed opposing running backs behind the line of scrimmage eight times.

Brown's impact extends far beyond the box score. The defensive tackle fits Carolina's system perfectly, setting up teammates to shine. Since joining the squad, the disruptive defender has built a reputation for clogging gaps and freeing up stud pass-rusher Brian Burns by drawing double-teams.

Mike's primary role heading into 2010 was supposed to be returning kicks, but he quickly found a niche in the offense. His first two career starts at running back netted consec 100-yard rushing games against Tampa Bay and Baltimore. The following week, Goodson was Carolina's leading receiver against the Browns, as he caught eight passes for 81 yards.

Luke Kuechly
When you need a tackle, Carolina's No. 59 is your guy. Kuechly was the only player in the league to record at least 150 tackles in each of the past three seasons, and he led the NFL in two of those. He anchored a stingy defense that surrendered only 43 points in four must-win games down the stretch in 2014.
