Dolphins Card of the Day

Jay Ajayi
Plan on seeing a lot more of Ajayi in the Dolphins offensive attack in 2016. "Jay is going to be a big part of what we're going to do," new Miami head coach Adam Gase said in March. That bodes well for the second-year rusher, who just two years prior led the FBS with 347 carries and 32 total touchdowns.

Name that player!

Respected in Texas Tech's locker room, Ezukanma stood as one of three freshmen named a captain in 2019. His impact translated to the gridiron, where he elevated the team's passing attack and became the first Red Raiders frosh to lead the squad in receiving yards since the legendary Michael Crabtree in 2007.

The Dan Marino-to-Fryar connection started the 1994 NFL season in fabulous form. The receiver, taking on the Patriots, his former team, highlighted a 39-35 win by going full force after a breather. He went off for 211 yards and three touchdowns on five catches (42.2 yards per grab)-all in the second half.

The mixture of speed and strength has been responsible for the emergence of Roy as a solid offensive lineman. Last season saw him earn All-Pro recognition and a trip to the Pro Bowl Game for the first time in his career. Roy is 1st USC alumnus to ever play with the Miami Dolphins.

Jaylen Waddle
For what it's worth, Waddle didn't need the extra game (the NFL went to a 17-game schedule in 2021) to establish a league record for catches by a rookie. He should take extra pride in having amassed 104 receptions in 16 games and topping the mark (101) set by Arizona's Anquan Boldin in 2003.
