Name that player!

Used almost entirely in defense in rookie year, 1949. Good at doping out opponents' plays. In final year at Notre Dame (1948) averaged 7.5 yards. Scored 8 touchdowns. AP honorable mention, All-America. Italian-American All-America. Slick carrier on offense, tough on defense. Named most valuable player in East-West game, San Francisco, 1949.

Transferring from a major college power to another, Williams hit the ground running when he arrived in Tuscaloosa. The junior from Ohio State produced a 94-yard touchdown catch in his first game with the Crimson Tide on Sept. 4, 2021 against Miami. His four TD catches of 70-plus yards set a season record for Alabama.

When Lou sets his sights for a block, enemy players prepare themselves for a human avalanche. Packing about the most power in the League, Lou has been picked for 5 Pro Bowl games and has won All-Pro Honors four straight years. Although offensive tackle is his regular spot, Lou can handle both guard positions with ease and has been called upon to add strength to the Lions' defense when Detroit is putting up a goal line stand.

Howard Cassady
The former Ohio State All-American has proved he can fill a variety of roles in pro ball. As well as being the Lions' leading kickoff-return man last season, he can flank out as a halfback and catch passes, or take off on a quick opener.
