One of the NBA's most improved big men, Schrempf was Indiana's leading rebounder with eight a game and third leading scorer with 16.1 ppg. A former soccer star and exchange student from West Germany, Schrempf, always known for his all-around athletic abilities, has become the league's most feared weapon off the bench.
Darnell provided great bench strength and rebounding power in helping Pacers to ABA title last season. A great leaper with the ability to touch the top of the backboard, he cleared the 7-foot mark in the high jump as a freshman at San Jose State. A very intelligent player who rarely makes a mistake.
George's rebounding strength under the boards proved to be a key factor as Pacers defeated Nets for ABA championship last season. Possessed with great size, speed, agility and ballhandling ability, he was 4th in country with 29.9 scoring average at Indiana University in 1970-71.
