After a slow start when used as the club's fourth guard, Fred became the spark that ignited the Bullets through the last month of the 1969-70 season and through 1970-71. Fred originally impressed Coach Gene Shue with his scoring ability through training camp and exhibition games in his rookie season, but defense has become the most outstanding part of his game.

A flashy one-on-one master, Earl "the Pearl" Monroe dazzled NBA fans during his 13-year career. He was NBA Rookie of the Year in 1968 and was selected to the All-NBA First Team in 1969. He also won an NBA Championship in 1973 with the New York Knicks.

Leonard Gray
Leonard has developed into one of the outstanding young forwards in the NBA. The Supersonics' most consistent forward of 1975-76, he came to the Bullets in exchange for Nick Weatherspoon last season. Leonard was MVP of the Pacific Coast Athletic Association at Long Beach State in 1973-74.
