Name that player!

A high school All-American at the same school that produced Wilt Chamberlain, Walt attended UCLA where he led the Bruins to two national titles. Primarily a shooter, Walt has become one of the NBA's best playmakers and has led the Hawks in assists the past two seasons. Walt is a fine penetrator, a good ballhandler.



Voted to the NBA Second Team All-Stars for the 1972-73 season, Pete enjoyed his finest pro campaign. He topped his previous highs in almost every category. ranked 6th in league with 545 Assists for 6.9 Average Per Game and was NBA's 5th leading scorer. Pete made 11 Free Throws in game vs. Celtics, 3-23-73.



Lovellette reached the 10,000 point mark last season when he scored 1,471 for an eight-year total of 10,414. He boasted a 21.8 scoring average, second only to Pettit's team high of 27.9. An excellent foul shooter, he was one of the loop leaders with an .856 percentage from the free throw line. He joined the Minneapolis Lakers of the NBA in 1953 and put in four seasons before transferring to Cincinnati. The Hawks acquired Clyde in a trade during the winter of 1958.

Pete Maravich
The most prolific scorer in the history of college basketball, Pete broke the record for most points scored in a career formerly held by Oscar Robertson and became the first to top the 3,000 point mark. A unanimous All-American and the nation's leading scorer the past three seasons, he bettered the 50-point mark 26 different times in his varsity career.
