Patrick, fourth in MVP voting last season, has made the NBA All-Star Team in nine of his 10 seasons.
The "old man" of the Knicks at 33, Dick is still a consistent, deadly left-handed jump-shooter. His 17.6 average was barely above his 17.4 career mark and he hit at a 16.7 pace in the post-season playoffs.
In his first season with Knicks, Bud scored 401 points, in spite of fact that he didn't join team until December. He's rated as best basketball player ever developed at Princeton. In 1943 he led Eastern Intercollegiate League in scoring with 170 points in 12 games and was named to All-League first five. His 73 field goals that season were most ever made in that old circuit. While he was in training he played with the Chapel Hill, N. C. Cloudbusters and led team in scoring.
