Sharon Manning
Ranked 14th in WNBA in rebounds per game (5.5). Set WNBA record with nine offensive rebounds in a game, June 24, 1998. Finished North Carolina State career fourth all-time in rebounds (912). The superstitious Manning, the only female athlete in Greenville County, Va, ever to have her high school jersey retired, insists on having the same meal - fried chicken, string beans and macaroni and cheese - before every game. She was twice named Virginia's Female High School Player of the Year.
