Tigers Card of the Day

Jackson Jobe
When Jobe is staring down the batter, he's running through a mental Rolodex of options with which to fell his foe. The trusty four-seam heater is always a good choice for the righty, as are his cutter and changeup. If he wants to shatter hitters' hopes with a breaking pitch instead, his sharp slider/curve hybrid is in the cards.

His walk rate in the period was 4.7%, little more than half the League average.

Back to the Front! Tigers card back du jour...

Joe Sparma
This 25-year-old righthander will be out to wipe away the memory of the 1966 season. With a good curve and a jumping fastball there isn't a reason why Joe can't regain his magic winning touch. After graduating high school, the righthander couldn't decide whether to sign a baseball contract with the Tigers or to go to Ohio State University on a football scholarship. Joe chose football and he became the Buckeyes' quarterback. During the off-season, Joe continued to play Varsity baseball.
