CAREER APPRAISAL: Wright has been the most productive and stable force in the Mets batting order and clubhouse since his 2004 debut. He continues to pick off team records which now include those for career RBI, hits, extra-base hits, runs, doubles and walks.

Daniel's 115 doubles from 2012-14 ranked fifth in MLB and second to Robinson Cano among keystone staffers. Since returning from a knee injury in '11, he's batted .294 and been a consistent run scorer for the Mets. Murphy's emergence as a premium offensive threat was recognized with a trip to the MLB All-Star Game in '14.

The newly appointed manager of the New York Mets is a veteran of 25 years in the major leagues! Gil put on his first professional uniform in 1943 when he appeared in one game for the Brooklyn Dodgers. He spent the next two years fulfilling his military obligations. In 1946, Gil returned to the baseball wars playing for Newport News in the Piedmont League. The next year, he was promoted to the Brooklyn Dodgers where he became their regular first sacker until 1961. One of Gil's mightiest feats came in 1950, when he tied the major league record for total bases in one game. That day, Gil singled and blasted four home runs in five appearances at the plate. In 1962, he joined the Mets. In May 1963, Gil launched a new career as he took over as manager of the Washington Senators.
