Mo Vaughn
After a slow start in '92, Mo wound up 2nd on the Red Sox in homers. A powerful lefthanded slugger, Mo is regarded by the Red Sox as one of the top prospects they have developed over the past few years. He was a first round draft choice out of Seton Hall in '89, achieving All-America honors and a composite three-year batting average of .417.

1965 was Chuck's best season in the majors since he broke in as a Red Sox rookie in '61. As a freshman, Chuck established an A.L. mark by committing just 8 errors at 2nd base in 162 games.



Often called the "Spark Plug" of the Red Sox, Billy led the American League in batting in 1950 with a .354 mark. A regular without any regular position, he plays wherever he's needed in the infield or the outfield. After hitting .389 at Atlanta in 1946 and .340 at Louisville in 1947, he broke in with the Red Sox. In his rookie year, Billy hit .310 and dropped to .298 in 1949. He's the 10th ranking batter in the majors today.



Good hitter - excellent fielder. Batted .312 for the Sox in 1950. Had 153 hits, including 22 doubles. Scored 112 runs and drove in 49. Has compiled big-league batting averages of .306, .331, 335, .334, 281. Johnny's 205 hits in rookie year tied a major league record by making 200 or more base knocks in first full season. Set the pace for base hits in American League during 1942, 1946 and 1947

John Curtis
John fared well for Bosox in 1972 after joining club from Louisville, and is counted on heavily to come into his own this year. A standout hurler in high school, he attended Clemson University where he was undefeated as a freshman and pitched three no-hitters. Signed with Red Sox in 1968.
