Twins Card of the Day

Tony Oliva
The parameters of the strike zone were merely a suggestion to Oliva, who was happy to flick his bat at anything and everything within reach. That approach would have led to soaring whiff totals for many, but not the Minnesota mainstay. Instead, he swung his way to a trio of league batting titles and retired with a lifetime average of .304.

Handicapped by injuries in '65, Harmon still led The Twins power-packed club in homers. The Killer cracked 3 All-Star hits in 1964!
