Name that player!

One of the finest defensive catchers to come along in years, Hector is given a good chance to become a Dodger regular this season. The Los Angeles brass have kept a close watch on the stocky backstop's batting progress.

One of the biggest thrills in Ken's career came when he smashed a grand-slam home run in the 1964 World Series.

When the Brooklyn Dodgers wanted a first base- man last season they turned to the Jersey City Club and took "Bud" Clancy, who was hitting 307 for the International League. Bud came up to Brooklyn and hit the ball for .306 in 53 games and fielded .996. John (Eud) Clancy is 30 years old, a six-footer and moves the scales at 170 pounds. He bats and throws left-handed. Clancy spent four years with the Chicago White Sox in the American League before he went to Jersey City. He batted .300 in 1927 in 130 games with Chicago.

Raymond Hall Hayworth
Ray Hayworth, veteran American and National League catcher, started his tenth year in the major leagues this year. He started his professional baseball career in 1926 with the Toronto Club. Ray was purchased by the Detroit Tigers the same year and spent the next three years in the minor leagues acquiring experience. He was recalled by the Detroit Tigers in 1929 and with the Tigers proved to be one of the best defensive catchers in the major leagues. In 1932 he worked in 100 consecutive games without an error, handling 437 chances for a new all-time league record. At the end of the 1938 season, Hayworth was acquired by the Brooklyn Dodgers via the draft route and his experience has been a big help to the Dodgers' pitching staff.
