Carl has been as much a part of the Dodgers' pennant success since 1947, as any other individual. Always a dangerous, high average hitter, Carl won the National League batting title in 1953 with an average of .344.
Although Rube hasn't seen too much action with the Dodgers since joining the club in '51, he shares two Major League records. On May 21, 1952 he banged out two hits and scored twice in one inning. Starting with Erwin in '44, he led the I.I.I. League in '46 with a .354 Mark; hit .331 for Nashville in '47 and was brought up by the Cubs in '48.
Led Pioneer League 3rd basemen with 51 Putouts, 109 Assists & 10 D.P.'s at Ogden in 1968. Led Pioneer League with 20 Homers, 59 Runs Batted In and 151 Total Bases in 1968.
