Hit .295 in 155 games in 1950. Led the League in drawing bases on balls (141). Eddie, who has never played in the minors, joined the Senators in 1944. Did not become a regular until 1947, on returning from the service. Has raised batting average each season (1947, 238; 1948, .249; 1949, .253). Tied a League record for third basemen in 1949 by taking part in 3 double plays in a game.
Hal was signed at the Nats' tryout school at Deland, Fla., in 1950. He was sent to Hickory, where he won eight games his first season. Hal's 15 victories at Chattanooga in 55. won him his first look-see with the Senators.
