Name that player!

One of Mike's finest games of 1972 was vs. his former Bosox teammates, August 28th. He hit 3-run Homer in 4th inning & 2-run Double in 6th as Chisox won 6-4.

The gentleman good-naturedly caricatured on the opposite side of this card is the new manager of the White Sox. The Sox finished sixth last year with a win-lose record of 60 and 94. Paul Richards would like to reverse those figures for 1951. He is a former big-league catcher. Has been with Dodgers, Giants, A's and Tigers. Managed in the minors upon close of playing career in majors.

Sam joined the White Sox in 1952, and then was farmed out for the next two seasons before returning to Chicago. He has proven to be a valuable hand, starting his share of games at as many as four positions.
