The backstop batted .313 for Ogden in the Pioneer League in 1950.



Spitball pitcher and a great one. Has been in the National League since the Fall of 1917. Twirled for Six National League clubs and played in four world's series. Pretty close to 40 years old, but still able to fool the batters. Born on a farm in Wisconsin and worked in the lumber camps, where he developed considerable strength. Broke into baseball in 1913 with Ottumwa in the Central Association. Now lives at New Haven, Mo. Bats and throws right-handed, is five feet, 10 inches tall and weighs 190 pounds. Last year won six games and lost 11.



Jordan embraces new experiences. He swam with dolphins in October, recommending it on social media. Jordan K'ed nine in winning MLB debut, 8-26-23.

Bill Herman
Cost the Chicago Cubs in the neighborhood of $50,000 when he went up from the Louisville Club in 1981, but has more than made good. With Louisville that year, hit .350 in 118 games and batted .327 in 25 games for the Cubs. Last year hit .314 in 154 contests for the Cubs. Bill Herman was born in New Albany, Ind. in 1909; starred in high school and amateur ball and was signed by Louisville Club in 1927. Is 6 feet, 11 inches tall, weighs 170 pounds; bats and throws right handed.
