Pat MacLeod made his NHL debut with the North Stars last season but became a Shark when he was taken by San Jose in the 1991 Dispersal Draft. He spent most of the last two seasons with Kalamazoo (IHL) and last year finished second in scoring among Wings defensemen, drafted in the fifth round by Minnesota in 1989, MacLeod played his junior hockey for Kamloops (WHL). He scored his first NHL goal in his first game with the Sharks.
Smallish for a defenseman, Pierre was developed in Hawks' farm system, rates as one of top scorers among backliners. Played three years with Buffalo before getting chance. Hasn't missed a game since Hawks promoted him three years ago.
Drafted as under-age junior by WHA. 1st NHL Goal, 10-14-79 vs. Canucks Glen Hanlon. 1st Team All Star for 4th time. Won Hart Trophy for 5th straight year in 1983-84. Won Art Ross Trophy for the 4th time in 1983-84. MVP in 1982-83 All Star Game. Owns NHL Record for "Longest Consecutive Point-Scoring Streak", 51 games.
