To kick off his third NHL season with the Columbus Blue Jackets in 2021-22, Merzlikins rattled off victories in his first four appearances and gave up only six goals over the span. He capped the run by making 31 saves to backstop the Blue Jackets to a 4-1 victory over the visiting Dallas Stars on Oct. 25. He played his 100th game on March 13, a 6-4 home win over the Vegas Golden Knights.
With the Washington Capitals leading the Tampa Bay Lightning 1-0 on Dec. 21, 2019, Kucherov evened up the score with his 200th career goal 10 minutes into the third period of the 3-1 loss.
Size and aggressiveness are two of Gary's chief assets. He's a strong skater, and a tough man in the corners. Gary was originally drafted by Los Angeles back in 1968, and had a brief trial with Detroit before catching on with California. Gary scored three goals in 1969 playoffs.
