November 10, 2002: Weekly Wrap Up: Teaming brilliantly with quarterback Tommy Maddox, Burress caught nine passes for a Steelers-record 253 yards in Pittsburgh's dramatic 34-34 tie with Atlanta on November 10. He snared TD passes of 62 and 33 yards, and came just short of a third score on the final play of overtime when his sprawling 50-yard catch ended up one yard shy of paydirt.

Turned in second consecutive stellar season when he passed for 29 touchdowns and club-record 4,310 yards in 1989... Finished second to Joe Montana in NFC with 90.6 quarterback rating...Rallied Rams to tying or go-ahead score in final two minutes of six games... Named NFC offensive player of week after passing for 295 yards and 2 touchdowns, and completing team-record 18 consecutive passes in 31-10 victory over Giants in week 10.

Tough and a tremendous competitor, Phil is adept at reading defenses and throws the ball with a quick release and plenty of zip. He was picked for his second Pro Bowl in '93.
