A last-minute replacement for injured SuperSonics star Shawn Kemp, Tim Perry doubled Philadelphia's chances of winning the 1993 NBA Slam-Dunk Championship by joining teammate Clarence Weatherspoon in the event. A fifth-place finisher in 1989, Perry had experience on his side as he was the second-oldest competitor at 27 years old and was one of three players who had been in the dunk contest before.
