The Clippers selected Perry in the second round of the 1991 NBA Draft after a senior season in which Perry scored 20.8 points per game and led Memphis State and the Metro Conference) in steals and scoring average. Perry went to the LaCrosse Catbirds of the CBA after just ten games with the Clippers, but he returned to the NBA on December 9, 1991, when the Hornets signed him.
Dick is a fine all around athlete. In the spring and summer, he pitches for the Rochester Red Wings and last year posted a good 12-9 mark. On the court he is a sensational defensive operator and scores with classy set shots. In college, Dick had over 17 points per game.
Wally exhibits an excellent shooting touch, particularly from the 12-15 foot range. His long legs and slender build provide the speed and quickness so valuable to the Supersonics' offense.
