An exciting guard who makes things happen on the court, Anthony Peeler used his slashing moves and his sweet left-handed shot to win the Big Eight Conference Player of the Year Award in 1991-92. Peeler averaged 23.4 points per game as a senior, and he left Missouri as the school's all-time leader in assists (497) and steals (196). Dangerous on the fast break, he is an outside threat, too, as his career three-point percentage (.393) indicates. The Lakers snapped him up with the 15th overall pick of the 1992 NBA Draft. Peeler should play a major role in the Lakers' return to the up-tempo style of play that brought them five NBA Championships in the 1980s.
Following a six-game intro to the league with the Lakers in 2022-23, Pippen moved to Memphis the following season and carved out a solid role with the Grizzlies. The budding playmaker made 16 starts, including in each of the last 11 games of the campaign. During that final stretch, he averaged 14.5 points, 4.5 assists and 2.0 steals.
Making his playoff debut in 2021, Hachimura looked ready for the bright lights. In his team's first round matchup with Philadelphia, he averaged 14.8 points and 7.2 rebounds over the five-game set. In Game 4, the up-and-coming forward posted a double-double to help power his team to a win.
