The most prolific scorer in the history of college basketball, Pete broke the record for most points scored in a career formerly held by Oscar Robertson and became the first to top the 3,000 point mark. A unanimous All-American and the nation's leading scorer the past three seasons, he bettered the 50-point mark 26 different times in his varsity career.
Now a star who averaged 22.0 points in San Antonio in 2022-23, Johnson is thankful for his time with the Austin Spurs. "I think definitely 100 percent the G League turned my career around," he said. "I feel like coming in I was around 19 years old and it helped me develop. It helped me become a professional."
The top pick in this year's draft, Duncan led the nation in rebounding as a collegion in '96-97, pulling down 457 boards for a 14.7 per-game average. He became the first player since Shaquille O'Neal to be a unanimous First Team All-America choice, as well as earning innumerable Player of the Year nods.
