Cincy was acquired by the Stars from the Colonels for the 1972-73 season after making life miserable for Utah the previous campaign. It seemed as though whenever the two teams faced one another Cincy was hitting a great shot or pulling down a crucial rebound vs. Stars.
With LaMelo Ball, Miles Bridges, Devonte Graham and a few others, the Hornets are overflowing with young talent. Looking to match that with a reliable veteran, they picked up Hayward, who didn't disappoint. In his first season there (2020-21), the All-Star shot 47.3 percent from the field.
Jackson is a big "2" guard/small forward with a hard-nosed defensive reputation. After spending time with Golden State and New Jersey of the NBA and Wichita Falls and LaCrosse of the CBA over the last two seasons, this Georgetown product has found his niche backing up Ron Harper for the Clippers, occasionally sharing backcourt duties with former Big East opponent Mark Jackson.
