His Nets' astonishing improvement due in no small part to his own, Martin's numbers were way up over his rookie season. Now a solid 15- to 18-point scorer and prolific shot blocker, he also has added a three-pointer to his repertoire and has become known as one of the most physical defenders in the league. Kenyon is happy to do that kind of "dirty work," and doesn't consider himself a gaudily athletic player. "I have game hops," he says. "I jump when I have to."
