Dan returned to his familiar center position with the Nuggets last season. He was the only player in ABA history to have started All-Star Games at 2 different positions in career.
As a 1996-97 rookie, Antoine did his part for Celtic pride by accomplishing something the likes of Bird, McHale nor Parish ever did: lead the team in points, rebounds and blocked shots. The achievement was a mark of versatility, as Walker - a natural forward - played center some nights and filled in at point guard on others. By the season's second half - during which he averaged 21.1 points per game and closed out the year with two triple-doubles in three games - the former U. of Kentucky star was clearly Boston's best player and a comerstone for the franchise's future.
