The Rockets' second draft selection in 1977, Robert possesses great rebounding, jumping and defensive ability. He was a First Team All-American selection of the National Association of Intercollegiate Athletics during his senior campaign at St. Mary's. Robert helped the Rattlers win 4 straight Big State Conference titles. He had 1,509 points in his career.
Strus entered the league as a superb sixth man. He began to earn more starting lineup spots in 2022-23 before becoming an exclusive starter with Cleveland in 2023-24. He started all 70 of his games that season and racked up 12.2 points, 4.8 boards and 4.0 dimes in a career-high 32.0 minutes.
