Developed into one of NBA's top young centers during his second season in 1990... Led Heat in scoring, rebounding and blocked shots while dramatically improving his field-goal percentage... The Supersonics' leading scorer last season, Fred is perhaps the NBA's most effective backcourt scorer and the heart of the Seattle offense. Few players in the league can match Fred's repertoire and variety of shots.



Horry was as relentless as the tides while playing for Alabama, making the All-SEC, SEC All-Defensive and SEC All-Academic Teams as a senior in 1991-92. He averaged 15.8 points and 8.5 rebounds in his senior season, while setting a school record with 121 blocks. With that mark, he joined Shaquille O'Neal as one of only two players in SEC history to reject 100-or-more shots in a season.
