He averaged 19.9 points over three years and his 1459 point total topped Jim "Bad News" Barnes' old school record mark. Nate was a Royals' regular through the 1970-71 pre-season games, averaging 13.7 points in 9 games and was a leader in assists. He was awarded the Royals' Outstanding Rookie trophy.
