A last-minute replacement for injured SuperSonics star Shawn Kemp, Tim Perry doubled Philadelphia's chances of winning the 1993 NBA Slam-Dunk Championship by joining teammate Clarence Weatherspoon in the event. A fifth-place finisher in 1989, Perry had experience on his side as he was the second-oldest competitor at 27 years old and was one of three players who had been in the dunk contest before. Experience couldn't help him when he missed his second slam, however, and he missed the final round.
The ABA's Plaver of the Year and MVP for 1973-74, "Dr. J." became the first player in league history ever to win 2 straight scoring championships. He finished 3rd in steals with 190, 3rd in blocked shots with 204, 6th in assists with 5.2 per game, 7th in rebounds with 10.7 per game & 9th in 2-point field goal accuracy with 51.5%.
Gail enjoyed his finest season in 1971-72 as he helped Lakers to NBA championship. He's consistent on defense, and an excellent shooter and a strong ball-handler.
