Ability to control the ball is Cousy's specialty. In the closing minutes of a tight game, with the score tied, Cousy, with his uncanny passing and dribbling, keeps the Celtics in control until the last second. Then he shoots, usually scores and it's too late for the opposition to do anything. It is his sleight-of-hand tricks and behind-the-back dribbles and passes that spark the Celts' devastating fastbreak offense. No wonder he is called the "Houdini of the Hardwoods." No one can dribble like he does. Here he's shown taking to the air for a basket against the Royals' Phil Jordan.
