In 2002, set a Charlotte club record by hitting a WNBA-leading 79 three-point field goals. Runner-up in WNBA Most Improved Player Award balloting in 2001. While at Harvard was a three-time Ivy League Player of the Year. Holds Harvard career records for most points (2,312), rebounds (1,134) and steals (308).
The lithe, high-jumping Duquesne All-American came into his own last season, adding a scoring attack to his fine floor game. A brilliant shooter in college, Green found the range again, pouring in 700 points, nearly twice as many as in any of his previous three seasons in the NBA. His best shot is a jumping one-hander from around the key. He is also adept at the drive-in layup.
One of the most exciting rookies in the league, Williams can do everything. The 6'8" guard-forward led the ACC in scoring as a senior, pumping in 26.8 points per game. He also contributed 5.6 rebounds, 3.6 assists and 2.1 steals per contest. Williams will back up both Lionel Simmons and Mitch Richmond as a rookie, giving the Kings a uniquely versatile three-player, "2-3" rotation.
