George covered more mileage between the bull pen and the pitcher's mound last year than any other hurler in the American League. This made him the top man in Games Pitched. George is a control hurler and the opposition has to work to get on base. He's also stingy when it comes to giving up home runs.
As a collegian, Danny compiled a 17-1 record over a two year period while posting nifty earned run averages of 1.42 and 1.48. Danny has an exceptional curveball and figures to move into the Mets starting foursome in 1969.
Paul pitched for the Pirates through most of the '51 and '52 seasons seeing some action with New Orleans in '51 and Hollywood in '52. He's been a member of the professional baseball ranks since breaking with a 10-4 mark at Bristol in '41. Paul rejoined Bristol again in '46 after 3 years in the Service and had a 20-2 record including 181 Strikeouts. He had a 2.47 ERA for New Orleans In '50 and joined the Pirates from Indianapolis in '51.
