"Skeeter" Kell is the younger brother of George Kell, star 3rd baseman of the Boston Red Sox. Everett, like George, is beginning his major league career with the Athletics. Played for Savannah in 1951. Hit .293 for 122 games. Played 2 seasons for Arkansas State College.



Significantly smaller than today’s baseball cards, the 1909 T206 set cards measure approximately 1 7/16" wide by 2 5/8" tall.



The stocky backstop, after a number of years with the Dodgers, was traded to the Cubs last season. He appeared in a total of 68 games and batted .237. A long ball hitter. Recognized as one of the game's best defensive catchers. Has also played at first, third, and in outfield.
