Brett, a big Floridian, oozes with potential, and it's starting to come to the fore. He made his Major League debut at 21 and was a 14- game winner at 22 in 2003. He remained in the Phillies rotation despite a down year in 2004 (11-11, 5.52), but trimmed his earned run average dramatically in 2005 while averaging nearly a strikeout per inning.

A good left-hander, Sam appeared in 34 games last year, 11 with the Browns and 23 with the Clevelanders and wound up with a record of 11-10.
